Foundation Junkie!

So, I just wanted to share what foundations I've used and collected so far. I actually don't have that much ..I don't think but definitely more than any one girl needs. I've also been trying two new foundations that I will mention below! [:

I've been trying 2 new foundations, Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation and Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. 

So far, the Revlon Nearly Naked has been okay. As you can see from my foundation collection, I'm not a big fan of drugstore foundations, this is the first that I've bought and used in a very long time. I have it in shade 130 Shell, which is one of the lighter shades and actually had a yellow undertone. I purchased this at Target for $7.99 if I'm not mistaken. I've been impressed with the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. The lasting power on this is great! The shade I have it in is Medium Ivory. I am loving this foundation so far! I purchased this at Sephora for $43. It does come with a bit more than your usual foundation, instead of 1.0 fl oz this comes with 1.18 fl oz. If you would like a full on review, let me know [:

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

So, while  was borrowing my uncles AWESOME Sony camera, I had the chance to film a video for you guys! And if you did not know already, I do not have a camera atm because my brother-in-law broke my camera while on a trip down south! (Booo) X/ Unfortunately, I was not able to transfer the video from the sd card onto my laptop! DARN, right?

The picture is just the still that the camera had set for my video. XD  The video was on products that I've been loving, which makes great gifts!!! Now, I don't think I will be able to upload it before Christmas time, if at all. =(

August 16th !!!

Today is my 21st BIRTHDAY !!! Wooooo! I'm so excited! Although I don't have anything planned, I'm still excited to just be 21. :D I wanted to share with you guys how I did my makeup for my birthday day. Lol, it's nothing special and even if I had nothing planned I still wanted to do my makeup for the heck of it.

I know it's not fancy, or sparkly or anything fantastic, but on my monolids I'm very particular with how I do my makeup. It's actually been bothering me a lot because sometimes I just wish I had normal lids. =/ But oh well, gotta deal with what you got. Also, whenever I take pictures of my eye makeup it turns out different from how I see it in the mirror. LOL. It doesn't look as nice in pictures -_-'

Grand opening of Sephora in JC Penny (Woodbury, MN) HAUL!

Ahhhhhh! What an exciting day! Nalani is actually an employee at this new Sephora so along with her co-workers, they have been working hard all summer long setting up and getting the store ready. Today for the grand opening, the first fifty people in line received a goody bag full of samples along with a gift card ranging from $5 - $100! Everyone after the first fifty people received a goody bag. Of course I was one of the first fifty people, the store opened at 10 a.m. and I was there by 7 a.m. XD I overheard someone in line saying that there were forty-seven $5 gift cards! And I thought to myself, well there goes my chances of winning big. BUT!!!! I was lucky enough to receive a $100 gift card! I was so excited!

I picked up some Shiseido Cotton pads ($9.50), since I'm running low on those. I bought a Boscia Clear Complexion Cleanser ($26) because I've been on the hunt for something that'll help me get rid of my acne. For makeup, I picked up a Make Up For Ever lipstick (Rouge Artist Natural N31, $19), and the Lorac Pro palette ($42). I was able to grab two small samples of Tarte's Maracuja Creaseless Concealer and of the new Acqua di Gioia for women.

I'm so excited to start using these products and will definitely let you guys know how I like them! & if you've noticed, I've been posting!!! DIORSKIN Nude Natrual Glow Hydrating Makeup Review

I've had this foundation for awhile, I purchased it without grabbing any samples etc except for reading a few blog posts on it. I have it in shade Medium Beige 030. When I purchased this foundation at the beginning of the year, I was a bit more fair.

First impressions:
Comes with a pump
'Hyrdrating' Great, since I have dry skin
The pump does not pump out a whole lot
A bit dark for my skin
Blends well
Scented, but not too disturbing
Good coverage, about medium

After allowing the foundation to set, it oxidized and became even darker. Hence, after that I have not worn it till now. I've used it on my cousins for their proms this year and it looked beautiful on them, they loved the way it looked on their skin because they don't wear foundation; So I was glad to give them a great first time foundation wearing experience. LOL. About a week ago, I decided to give it another go since I've gotten a bit more tan over the summer ..& I am totally in love with this foundation atm! LOVE!


Since it's not too dark for my skin now, I've been wearing it every chance I get. I'm actually in recovery mode, :D which means I've been breaking out like crazy so I don't want to cake on a whole face of makeup. On most days I've been wearing my MAC Tinted Moisturizer, anywho ..this foundation has quickly become one of my favs!

When applying this foundation I apply it with my Sigma foundation brush, I switch between the F80, F82, and F84. I do not set the foundation because I like the natural glow that it gives me, hence the name of the foundation. I feel that it lasts just as long as on the days that I do set it (I use my Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in Pale Yellow). The wear of this foundation on my skin is about five to seven hours, w/out setting the foundation. Again, this foundation is scented, so if you aren't fond of scented foundations I would advise you to stay away. I can smell it during the application process but throughout the day it does not bother me. I don't have sensitive skin so this foundation has not broken me out or given me any irritations.

I purchased it from Sephora, I'm not too sure whether or not they carry it in stores any longer.
Price: $47 + tax I believe ...yes, pricey but worth every penny!
My shade is in Medium Beige 030
It has an SPF of 10

Final thoughts:
It comes with a pump which is wonderful! BUT, one pump does not give you a whole lot of foundation, for my entire face I usually use about three to four pumps. Blends very well, and also buildable. About medium coverage (which I like). Scented, but does not bother me throughout the day. It is hyrdrating. It does give me a nice natural glow. Great for people with NORMAL and DRY skin ..or even DRY/COMBINATION (Dry on the cheeks but oily T-zone) and NORMAL/COMBINATION (Normal on cheeks but oily T-zone) if you set the foundation in the areas you are oily. I would not recommend this to someone who is oily.
& YES! I would definitely repurchase!
