Weekend Haul & NEW DREW BARRYMORE FLOWER COSMETICS! + Swatches

Yayyyy! I'm back with another post! This one is exciting! Did a little shopping over the weekend and bought some items from the new Drew Barrymore cosmetic line, Flower. It is only available at Walmart ...I believe. Lets get started! :D

Took a trip to Mall of America!
Sigma store:
- Angled Kabuki F84 brush (btw, my favorite to use for liquid foundation)
- Blending E25
Sephora
- Bobbi Brown corrector in "Bisque"
- Sephora flashy liner waterproof in "10 deep black"
Walmart
- Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer in "medium light" and it came with a mini concealer pencil.
- Flower About Face Foundation in "LF4"
- Flower Skincognito Stick Foundation in "SF4"
- Flower High Shine Lipstick in "Rose Bud" & Morning Glory"

Flower cosmetics swatches!!!

When I was at Walmart, the display of the Flower line was very pretty! Almost all of the products were still in place, still looked neat! So if you're interested run to your local Walmart asap! :D

Flower About Face Foundation
Shade: LF4
Price: $13.98
Amount of Product: 1.0 Fl oz
Pump: YES!

Here is a swatch of the foundation and as you can see this shade has a yellow undertone! Yayy! I am light/medium at the moment, and this was one of the lighter shades. This foundation is advertised as a luminous, sheer to medium coverage foundation. The display did have pictures of swatches, but I don't think it's accurate. I actually opened the bottles and swatched them on my hand. There was a good variety of shades and both pink and yellow undertones.

Flower Skincognito Stick Foundation
Shade: SF4
Price: $8.98
Amount of product: 0.32 oz

I decided to pick this up not to use it as a foundation but for spot concealing. As for the stick foundation, there were not as many shades to choose from as the About Face Founadtion. I felt that the shades were a little weird and confusing. I did open a few and swatched them in store.

Flower Kiss Stick, High Shine Lip Color
Shades: Left, Morning Glory. Right, Rose Bud.
Price: $6.98 x1

As you can see, both swatched beautifully. Very pigmented and color pay off is great, although I have not tried them on my lips. On the left is Morning Glory and right, Rose Bud. I decided to go with these two because in one of the pictures displayed of Drew Barrymore, she was wearing Rose Bud lipstick (right) and it looked beautiful on her.

I hope this gave you some sort of idea of the new Flower cosmetics line by Drew Barrymore. There are obviously more products, I only chose to pick up a few. I will update you guys once I actually start using and wearing the products! Here is the link to the new makeup line, which you will be able to find more information and view all the products available!

Enjoy,

A little reorganizing

Back with another simple post! I'm really bummed that I haven't been able to purchase a camera, so that I am able to film! Nalani did mention in her latest video that we both will be going back to school this fall, it is still a working progress. I am currently working full time at a child care center, and going to be in the middle of moving soon, when me and my husband's lease is up; then moving again shortly after that. So, as you've just read ..a lot of changes. But! I do post on instagram and like to blog, so I will be doing that more often. Now, to the reorganization! :D

I did a little reorganization of my vanity! I like to change things around because I get bored easily. I also  just like to organize, and rearrange my makeup when I accumulate more products. I'm very picky with how I organize my makeup so if you'd like to see a more detailed post or even video, let me know! [;

I like to have my foundations on display, (foundation junkie XD) therefore I keep them on top of my vanity. Along with my foundations, I have my Urban Decay sprays, Beauty So Clean spray, etc in a pink organizer I purchased from Target. I also keep my most used face brushes on the side, along with some of my skincare and lip treatments. I always keep some sort of placement on my vanity because it can get pretty messy. The mirror is an old purchase I got on sale from Walmart, but I'm sure you could find similar ones anywhere. So, there you have it ..the top of my vanity.

I hope this little post gave you some ideas or inspiration!

HAUL! Jan/Feb 2013

Well first off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hope everyone has had a great start!

Nkuana and I have been insanely busy with work and now we plan on going back to school so we don't really know what our schedule is going to be like. We will try to post as many videos as we can, but I think for the most part, we will be blogging. Enjoy!

Things I purchased:
Nars Sheer Matte Foundation - Ceylan
Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer
Shiseido Eyelash Curler
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer

The Tarte primer is so smooth and has such a silky texture, also keep in mind that Tarte products are made with no parabens, silicones - or any of that bad stuff for your skin. So far the primer is working well and it makes the foundation application so much easier! Especially with the Nars foundation because it has more of a drier consistency and it's thicker so it doesn't spread as easily as the Sheer Glow formula (I've tried and I love - but wouldn't recommend for super oily skin like myself).

The Nars Sheer Matte Foundation is like seriously - heaven in a bottle. I hope it doesn't break me out. The ingredients list is a little bit different than the Sheer Glow formula so let's just hope it won't cause any problems for my skin. *crossing fingers* The finish is so natural and beautiful. It has a nice soft matte finish that looks like skin. I hate dewy finishes (I have oily skin, so I'll get that look naturally (; ) so I really appreciate the soft matte finish that this foundation gives. As it sits on my skin throughout the day, it looks even more beautiful!

I needed an eyelash curler so bad! All the ones I have been using have been from the drugstore. I've always wanted to try a high end one, but never wanted to pay the price. WELL, I bit the bullet and got the Shiseido eyelash curler! I've only used it once so far, so we'll see how it goes. However, it seems to do well. The only thing that I need to get used to is the shape. It's a lot more flat than the other ones so it's kind of tricky for me to use. Will def keep you guys updated on this!

The Caudalie Serum - OH MY GOSH! Serious lifesaver! It is a light, milky serum and it feels nice on the skin. You do need to let it sink in cause it can kind of leave a sticky feel after but it absorbs really nicely. This serum is so hydrating! So hydrating that I can use it as my day moisturizer. Loving it. It is pricey, but for the winter months - it's so worth it!

The Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer is a nice moisturizer! It sinks it right away, gives me enough moisture, no less and no more and it feels nice on the skin. However like I mentioned in the video, I feel like it's making my skin go a little crazy. I've been getting bumps all over. I read a lot of reviews that said it has stung a few people upon application, but that has not happened to me. I have no issues really, except for the fact that it doesn't react so well with my skin. =/ Wish I could love it! I would definitely recommend for those of you out there with oily skin, but not sensitive.

I hope that was helpful! Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to let us know what you think!

Thanks,

Nalani (:
