HAUL! Jan/Feb 2013

Well first off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hope everyone has had a great start!

Nkuana and I have been insanely busy with work and now we plan on going back to school so we don't really know what our schedule is going to be like. We will try to post as many videos as we can, but I think for the most part, we will be blogging. Enjoy!

Things I purchased:
Nars Sheer Matte Foundation - Ceylan
Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer
Shiseido Eyelash Curler
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer

The Tarte primer is so smooth and has such a silky texture, also keep in mind that Tarte products are made with no parabens, silicones - or any of that bad stuff for your skin. So far the primer is working well and it makes the foundation application so much easier! Especially with the Nars foundation because it has more of a drier consistency and it's thicker so it doesn't spread as easily as the Sheer Glow formula (I've tried and I love - but wouldn't recommend for super oily skin like myself).

The Nars Sheer Matte Foundation is like seriously - heaven in a bottle. I hope it doesn't break me out. The ingredients list is a little bit different than the Sheer Glow formula so let's just hope it won't cause any problems for my skin. *crossing fingers* The finish is so natural and beautiful. It has a nice soft matte finish that looks like skin. I hate dewy finishes (I have oily skin, so I'll get that look naturally (; ) so I really appreciate the soft matte finish that this foundation gives. As it sits on my skin throughout the day, it looks even more beautiful!

I needed an eyelash curler so bad! All the ones I have been using have been from the drugstore. I've always wanted to try a high end one, but never wanted to pay the price. WELL, I bit the bullet and got the Shiseido eyelash curler! I've only used it once so far, so we'll see how it goes. However, it seems to do well. The only thing that I need to get used to is the shape. It's a lot more flat than the other ones so it's kind of tricky for me to use. Will def keep you guys updated on this!

The Caudalie Serum - OH MY GOSH! Serious lifesaver! It is a light, milky serum and it feels nice on the skin. You do need to let it sink in cause it can kind of leave a sticky feel after but it absorbs really nicely. This serum is so hydrating! So hydrating that I can use it as my day moisturizer. Loving it. It is pricey, but for the winter months - it's so worth it!

The Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer is a nice moisturizer! It sinks it right away, gives me enough moisture, no less and no more and it feels nice on the skin. However like I mentioned in the video, I feel like it's making my skin go a little crazy. I've been getting bumps all over. I read a lot of reviews that said it has stung a few people upon application, but that has not happened to me. I have no issues really, except for the fact that it doesn't react so well with my skin. =/ Wish I could love it! I would definitely recommend for those of you out there with oily skin, but not sensitive.

I hope that was helpful! Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to let us know what you think!

Thanks,

Nalani (:
